MY STORY
Back in 2012, when my photography world was transitioning from amateur to professional, and i began exposing my work to be hired, one of my first clients was the couple in the images below. Turns out they were getting married in a year and needed a photographer. I sent my quotation, they booked their wedding first, then they decided to do an e-session at their favorite place: Mountain Pine Ridge. They booked me again. I photographed them. I got paid and we parted ways. Little did Iknow then, that what began as client-photographer relationship, would develop into an amazing and close friendship. Fast forward to a few years later, here i am in 2018, photographing their 5th wedding anniversary….at their favorite place again, which has become my favorite place as well 🙂
ARE YOU WONDERING WHAT I MIGHT BE PHOTOGRAPHING NEXT? ME TOO 🙂
BIG ROCK FALLS/PART II
After a 40 min drive and a short but steep 10 minute hike, we were at Big Rock Falls for part 2 of the shoot
GOLDEN HOUR/PART III
Forest fires are very common in this area during the dry season. For some, this may be a bummer but for a Belizean photographer, this was eye candy, perhaps my only way to pretend we have fall season in Belize. While it saddened me to see so much destruction, i was not going to pass up the opportunity to make it the perfect photo backdrop. As we drove to and from locations, my eyes scanned the area for the best of the burnt pine tree area. I was looking for an area with more symmetry, as i spotted it, i asked the driver to stop. The area was great, but the natural light around 4:30pm on an April afternoon, was perfection!
The Hills/Part IV
This one was very disappointing. We hoped and sort of planned for a sunset shoot to end the day. However, when we arrived at the hill i named, ”The 360 Hill” (any direction you turn, you have an uninterrupted view of hills. If you are there on a full moon day, you may be lucky and get to see the sunset and moon rise, one place, same time ), a stubborn cloud was covering the sun. We still managed a few last shots….
